13 Creative Patriotic Nail Ideas for Independence Day

There is something incredibly special about wearing your patriotism right at your fingertips. I remember the very first time I created a patriotic nail look for a client who was heading to a summer celebration — her eyes lit up the moment she saw her nails, and I knew right then that this was more than just a beauty trend. Patriotic nails are a form of self-expression, a little wearable art that tells the world you are proud, bold, and unapologetically yourself. Over the years, I have experimented with dozens of patriotic nail designs — from classic, timeless styles to edgy, modern creations — and I am so excited to share my absolute favorites with you today. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who has been doing their own nails for years, these thirteen designs will give you everything you need to create something truly stunning. So settle in, grab your favorite nail tools, and let us dive into the most beautiful patriotic nail designs I have ever created.

Classic Red, White, and Blue French Tips

Patriotic French tip nails in red, white, and blue colors.

There is a reason why some things never go out of style. Classic red, white, and blue French tips are the little black dress of patriotic nail art — timeless, elegant, and effortlessly chic. Every summer, I find myself returning to this look because it is the kind of design that works for literally everyone. You can dress it up for a fancy gathering or keep it casual for a backyard cookout, and it never looks out of place. I have done this look on clients with short nails, long nails, natural nails, and acrylics, and every single time, the result is gorgeous. There is something about the clean lines and the crisp color combination that just feels so polished and put together. When I first started doing patriotic nails professionally, this was one of the very first designs I mastered, and it remains one of my most requested looks to this day.

Nails: Classic red, white, and blue French tips inspiration from the timeless American flag

The inspiration for this look comes directly from the heart of American tradition. The clean white tip represents purity and simplicity, the deep red accent channels confidence and strength, and the navy blue base grounds everything with a sense of stability and depth. I always encourage my clients to think of their nails as a tiny canvas, and this design treats each nail like a miniature flag — structured, intentional, and full of meaning. The French tip format gives the look a sophisticated edge that elevates it far beyond what most people expect from patriotic nail art.

Tools needed to create the nails design

To create this look, you will need a sheer or nude base coat, a classic navy blue gel or regular nail polish, a bright red nail polish, a white nail polish specifically formulated for French tips, thin nail art brushes for precise lining, a French tip guide tape or stickers for clean edges, a topcoat to seal everything in, and nail polish remover with a small brush for any cleanup around the edges.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Start by applying your base coat and then paint the full nail with two coats of navy blue, letting it dry completely before moving on.
  • Use your French tip guide tape along the smile line of your nail and carefully apply the white tip, removing the tape while the polish is still slightly wet for a clean edge.
  • Using a thin nail art brush, paint a thin red stripe just below where the white tip meets the blue, creating a crisp layered effect.
  • Finish with a generous layer of topcoat to seal and protect the design, and use a cleanup brush dipped in remover to tidy any edges.

Glitter Stars and Stripes

Patriotic nails with glitter stars and striped accents.

Oh, this one is pure magic. If you want a look that absolutely turns heads and makes people stop mid-conversation to ask about your nails, then the glitter stars and stripes design is your answer. I created this look for a client who described herself as someone who never does anything halfway, and honestly, it was one of the most fun nail sessions I have ever had. The combination of chunky glitter and fine shimmer creates this incredible multidimensional effect that catches light from every angle. People assume glitter nails are complicated, but with the right tools and a little patience, this is actually one of the more approachable designs on this list.

Nails: Glitter stars and stripes inspiration from the sparkle of celebration fireworks

The inspiration for this design came to me during a fireworks display I attended years ago. I was sitting back, watching the sky explode in bursts of red, silver, and blue glitter — literally glitter, that is exactly what it looked like — and I thought, I need to put that on someone’s nails. The glitter stars represent the brilliance and energy of American celebrations, while the striped elements anchor the design with a nod to the flag’s iconic structure. It is festive, it is joyful, and it is completely unapologetic in the best way possible.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a white or nude base, chunky red and blue glitter polishes, a fine silver glitter polish, a small dotting tool or thin brush for star placement, a striping brush for the stripe elements, a no-wipe topcoat to smooth out the glitter texture, and nail glue or clear gel if you want to apply individual star-shaped glitter pieces.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply your base color, then use a sponge or brush to dab the chunky red glitter onto half the nail and blue glitter onto the other half, blending slightly in the middle.
  • While the glitter is still tacky, use your dotting tool to carefully place small star-shaped glitter pieces at the top corner of each nail.
  • Using your striping brush and fine silver glitter polish, paint two or three thin diagonal stripes across the nail for movement and dimension.
  • Seal everything with two thick coats of no-wipe topcoat to flatten the glitter and create a smooth, glass-like finish.

Navy Blue Ombre Fade

Navy blue ombre nails fading into soft white tips.

Ombre nails are one of those techniques that look incredibly impressive but are completely achievable at home once you know the secrets. The navy blue ombre fade is my go-to recommendation for anyone who wants patriotic nails that feel more subtle and wearable every day, not just for celebrations. I have a personal soft spot for this design because it reminds me of the kind of artistry that lives in transition — the space between two things where something unexpected and beautiful happens. The gradient from deep navy to soft white or pale blue creates a dreamy, almost watercolor effect that is both patriotic and genuinely sophisticated.

Nails: Navy blue ombre fade inspiration from the gradient of the evening sky

This design was inspired by that magical hour just before fireworks begin, when the sky transitions from deep navy at the top to a soft, hazy blue closer to the horizon. It is a patriotic palette pulled straight from nature, and I love how it honors the beauty of the American sky as much as it honors the flag. The ombre fade feels modern and fashion-forward without screaming holiday, which makes it perfect for wearing throughout the entire patriotic season without feeling overdone.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a navy blue nail polish, a medium blue nail polish, a pale sky blue or white nail polish, a makeup sponge cut into a small wedge shape, a base coat, a topcoat, and rubbing alcohol with cotton pads to clean the sponge between uses.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Paint your nail with the lightest color as a base and allow it to dry completely, as this creates a brighter foundation for the ombre gradient.
  • On your sponge wedge, paint three horizontal stripes of navy, medium blue, and pale blue side by side with minimal space between them, then dab the sponge onto the nail with gentle pressure, repeating two or three times to build intensity.
  • Wrap the skin around your nail with petroleum jelly before sponging to make cleanup significantly easier, then peel it away after you are done sponging.
  • Apply two layers of topcoat to smooth out the sponge texture and give the gradient a seamless, polished finish.

Vintage Americana Nails

Vintage Americana nails in muted red, cream, and navy tones.

If there is one design on this list that makes me feel deeply connected to the history and soul of this country, it is the vintage Americana look. I fell in love with this aesthetic after spending time exploring antique markets in the South, where old tin signs and faded flags hang on weathered wood walls and everything feels beautifully worn and real. Vintage Americana nails translate that exact feeling onto your fingertips — distressed edges, muted tones, and an overall patina that makes the design look like it has stories to tell. My clients who love this look tend to be the ones who appreciate authenticity over flash, and I adore creating it for them.

Nails: Vintage Americana nails inspiration from antique flags and weathered Americana decor

The inspiration here is unmistakably rooted in nostalgia. Think faded red barns, hand-stitched quilts, and flags that have flown through decades of history. The muted, dusty version of the red, white, and blue palette gives this design its signature aged quality. I often use slightly desaturated shades — brick red instead of fire engine red, dusty navy instead of bright blue — to achieve that authentic vintage feel. A dry-brush technique over a slightly textured base adds the finishing touch of a beautifully worn aesthetic.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a matte base coat, brick red and dusty navy nail polishes, an off-white or cream nail polish, a very dry fan brush or stiff nail brush for the distressed texture effect, a crackle topcoat for optional added texture, and a matte topcoat to seal everything and maintain that non-shiny vintage look.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply the matte base coat and then paint your nail with the off-white or cream base, allowing it to cure fully before adding any details.
  • Using a nearly dry brush loaded with brick red, lightly drag it across the nail in horizontal strokes to create the look of worn paint and subtle stripe texture.
  • Add small, imperfect star dots using a dotting tool and dusty navy, deliberately keeping them slightly uneven to enhance the vintage handmade quality.
  • Seal with a matte topcoat rather than a glossy one to preserve the weathered, non-shiny finish that defines this entire aesthetic.

Fireworks Burst Nails

Patriotic nails with glitter fireworks burst designs.

Every summer, I teach a nail art workshop and without fail, the fireworks burst design is always the one that generates the loudest reactions in the room. There is something about recreating the explosive, radiating energy of fireworks on a tiny nail that feels both wildly ambitious and incredibly satisfying when it comes together. I first developed this technique after a client came to me with a photo of fireworks and said, literally that, put that on my nails. Challenge accepted, and the result was one of the most stunning patriotic sets I have ever created.

Nails: Fireworks burst nails inspiration from the explosive beauty of a night sky celebration

The fireworks burst design is all about energy, movement, and the electric thrill of watching the sky light up in brilliant color. The radiating lines that explode outward from a central point on each nail mimic the exact shape of a firework burst, and using metallic red, white, blue, and gold creates that shimmering, luminous quality you see against a dark sky. A black or deep navy base makes the colors pop even more dramatically, just like the night sky amplifies the brightness of every firework.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a black or deep navy base polish, metallic red, white, blue, and gold nail polishes, an extremely fine striping brush or nail liner brush, a small dotting tool for the center burst point, and a high-shine topcoat to give the finished look a luminous, glowing quality.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply two coats of your dark base color and allow it to fully cure so the metallic details show up as brightly as possible against the dark background.
  • Using your dotting tool, place a small metallic gold dot near the center or slightly off-center of each nail as the starting point for your burst.
  • With your fine striping brush, paint thin radiating lines outward from the dot in alternating colors — red, white, blue — working in all directions to create the starburst effect.
  • Add tiny dots of white at the tips of some of the lines to mimic the sparkling ends of real fireworks, then seal with a high-gloss topcoat.

Bold Star Power Nails

Bold patriotic nails with white stars on red and blue base.

Stars are the crown jewel of patriotic nail design, and the bold star power look leans fully into that symbolism with zero hesitation. I created this design for a client who told me she wanted something that felt strong, powerful, and unapologetically patriotic without being too literal or costumey. The result was a set of nails featuring oversized, graphic stars on a classic red and navy base that looked more like high fashion than a holiday look. Bold star power nails are for the woman who walks into a room and owns it.

Nails: Bold star power nails inspiration from the stars on the American flag and high-fashion graphic design

The stars on the flag have always fascinated me from an artistic perspective. They are geometric, precise, and endlessly versatile as a design element. For this look, I draw inspiration equally from the flag and from the bold graphic prints you see on fashion runways — oversized motifs, strong contrast, and a fearless approach to scale. Using large, perfectly formed stars in contrasting colors against a rich base creates a look that feels intentional, artistic, and genuinely striking.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need red, white, and navy blue nail polishes, star-shaped nail stencils or star stamping plates, a stamper and scraper if using stamping plates, a thin detailing brush for freehand stars, and a topcoat to seal the finished design.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Paint alternating nails in navy and red as your base colors, allowing each coat to dry fully before proceeding to the star placement stage.
  • Press your star stencil firmly against the nail and carefully paint over it with a contrasting color — white stars on navy nails, navy or white stars on red nails — then peel the stencil away cleanly.
  • If freehanding, use a thin brush to draw a small pentagon in the center of each star first as a guide, then connect the five points outward for a perfect star shape.
  • Finish with topcoat and use a cleanup brush with remover to sharpen any edges where the stencil may have shifted slightly.

Watercolor Flag Nails

Watercolor patriotic nails inspired by American flag colors.

Watercolor nails are one of my absolute favorite techniques because they produce results that look genuinely artistic — the kind of thing people assume took hours but can actually be achieved with a bit of practice and the right approach. The watercolor flag design blends the iconic red, white, and blue palette into soft, blended washes of color that feel painterly and expressive rather than rigid and literal. I love this look for people who want patriotic nails that feel more artistic and personal than traditional flag-inspired designs.

Nails: Watercolor flag nails inspiration from impressionist painting and the soft blending of patriotic colors

I was looking at impressionist paintings at a gallery one afternoon when the idea for watercolor flag nails first came to me. The way colors bleed into each other, the way edges soften and blur into something dreamlike — that was exactly what I wanted to recreate on a nail. The patriotic palette translates beautifully into this style because red, white, and blue already have an inherent harmony that makes blending them feel natural and effortless.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need sheer, buildable red, white, and blue nail polishes or gel colors, a small flat brush for blending, rubbing alcohol to thin the polishes for a more watercolor-like consistency, a white base to make the sheer colors pop, and a topcoat to seal everything once dry.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Start with a bright white base and allow it to dry completely since the translucency of the watercolor effect depends on a clean, light foundation underneath.
  • Thin your red and blue polishes very slightly with rubbing alcohol on a palette, then apply them in loose, organic washes across different sections of the nail without trying to be precise.
  • Use a clean flat brush dampened with a tiny bit of alcohol to blend the edges where the colors meet, creating soft transitions that mimic the look of actual watercolor paint on paper.
  • Seal immediately with topcoat once you are happy with the blending, as the thinned polish can move and shift if left unprotected for too long.

Metallic Freedom Nails

Metallic patriotic nails with chrome red, blue, and silver finish.

Metallics and patriotic nails are a combination that I genuinely believe deserves more attention than it gets. The metallic freedom design takes the classic red, white, and blue palette and elevates it to something truly luxurious by swapping flat colors for rich, mirror-like metallic finishes. I first developed this look when a client came to me before a summer gala and wanted patriotic nails that felt formal and special rather than casual and festive. The metallic versions of the patriotic palette feel polished, grown-up, and completely stunning.

Nails: Metallic freedom nails inspiration from polished armor, chrome aesthetics, and regal patriotic pride

The metallic freedom look draws its inspiration from the idea of strength and pride expressed through luxurious finishes. Polished chrome, gleaming armor, shimmering medals — all of these symbols of achievement and strength translate into the metallic nail aesthetic beautifully. Metallic red reads as confident and powerful, metallic blue feels regal and commanding, and chrome white or silver creates a clean, futuristic contrast that ties the look together.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need chrome or metallic red, blue, and silver nail polishes or gel colors, a silicone buffer tool if using chrome powder, chrome powder in red, blue, and silver shades for gel application, a no-wipe topcoat if working with gel, and a fine brush for any detailing work.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply your base coat and then paint each nail in your chosen metallic color — alternating or grouping colors across the hand creates the most visually balanced result.
  • If using chrome powder over gel, cure the no-wipe topcoat fully and then buff the chrome powder onto the nail in circular motions using a silicone finger tool until the mirror effect develops.
  • Add fine metallic accent lines or small star details using a contrasting metallic shade and a thin striping brush for an extra layer of detail.
  • Seal with a final topcoat, keeping in mind that some chrome finishes can dull if over-coated, so one thin, careful layer is always better than a heavy application.

Denim and Stars Nails

Denim inspired blue nails with tiny white star accents.

This might be one of the most underrated patriotic nail designs I have ever created, and I say that with full conviction because every single person who has seen this look in person has asked me to recreate it for them. Denim and stars nails combine the textured, casual coolness of a denim aesthetic with classic patriotic star motifs to create something that feels effortlessly American in the best, most laid-back way. Think cutoff shorts, a warm summer evening, and nails that match the vibe perfectly.

Nails: Denim and stars nails inspiration from American casual fashion and the classic blue jean aesthetic

The inspiration is as American as it gets — denim. There is no fabric more synonymous with American identity than blue jeans, and translating the textured, faded, indigo look of denim onto a nail creates something instantly recognizable and deeply cool. Adding white star motifs over the denim texture brings in the patriotic element in a way that feels fashion-forward rather than costume-like.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a medium indigo or denim blue nail polish, a fine-tipped brush or thin sponge for the denim texture effect, a white nail pen or fine brush for the star details, a matte topcoat to enhance the fabric-like texture, and optionally a dark navy polish for adding depth to the denim effect.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Paint your nail with two coats of medium indigo blue and allow it to dry, then use a slightly darker navy and a barely loaded brush to create thin, irregular horizontal lines across the nail mimicking denim threads.
  • Add random vertical lines in a lighter blue using an almost-dry brush to create the crosshatch pattern characteristic of actual denim weave.
  • Use a white nail pen or fine brush to draw small, simple star outlines scattered across the nail — keeping them simple and slightly imperfect adds to the casual, relaxed vibe of the overall design.
  • Seal with a matte topcoat to give the nails that fabric-like, non-shiny finish that really sells the denim illusion.

Floral Patriotic Nails

Patriotic nails with red, white, and blue floral patterns.

Beauty and patriotism are not mutually exclusive — in fact, they are a magical combination when executed with intention. Floral patriotic nails are my answer to anyone who has ever said that patriotic nails feel too aggressive or too literal for their personal style. By incorporating delicate florals painted in red, white, and blue tones, this design transforms the patriotic palette into something genuinely romantic and feminine while still honoring the occasion. I have done this look for outdoor summer weddings, garden parties, and casual Sunday picnics, and it always feels perfectly appropriate.

Nails: Floral patriotic nails inspiration from wildflower fields and patriotic color botanicals

Imagine a wildflower field full of red poppies, white daisies, and blue cornflowers — that is the exact vision behind this design. The flowers of America’s fields and meadows have their own quiet patriotism, and capturing them on a nail in the colors of the flag creates something poetic and beautiful. I often tell my workshop students that florals are one of the most forgiving nail art styles because organic, natural shapes do not need to be perfectly symmetrical to look stunning.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a soft neutral or white base, red, white, and blue nail polishes in both regular and pastel shades, a dotting tool in various sizes for creating flower petals and centers, a fine detailing brush for leaves and stems, and a topcoat to seal the finished floral design.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply your neutral or white base and then use a medium dotting tool to create five petal clusters by pressing dots in a circular arrangement to form simple flowers in red, white, and blue across different nails.
  • Use a small dotting tool to add a contrasting center dot to each flower — yellow or white centers on red flowers, red or gold centers on blue flowers — for a naturally realistic look.
  • With your fine brush and a dark green polish, add tiny curved stems and small leaf shapes connecting the flowers to give the design a botanical illustration quality.
  • Seal with a topcoat, and consider using a slightly glossy finish to give the florals a fresh, just-painted quality that feels vibrant and alive.

Red White and Blue Marble Nails

Marble patriotic nails blending red, blue, and white swirls.

Marble nails are one of those techniques that look incredibly complex and artistic but are shockingly achievable with a little practice and the right method. Red and blue marble nails take the classic marble aesthetic and infuse it with the patriotic palette to create something that looks like it belongs in a fine art gallery as much as it belongs on your fingertips. I love this design for people who want patriotic nails that feel elevated, editorial, and genuinely fashion-forward.

Nails: Red and blue marble nails inspiration from natural stone and high-fashion nail artistry

Real marble is one of nature’s most spectacular artistic creations — the way veins of color move through stone in organic, unpredictable patterns is endlessly beautiful. Recreating that in red and blue over a white base creates a look that is both dramatically patriotic and undeniably sophisticated. I often use this design as a reminder to my students that nature is always the best nail art teacher.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a white base polish, red and navy blue nail polishes, a thin detailing brush or a real thin feather for creating the marble veining, a small brush for water marble technique if preferred, and a topcoat to seal and protect the finished design.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply two coats of white base and let it cure completely, as a bright, clean white is absolutely essential for the marble veins to show up with full impact and contrast.
  • Dip your thin brush or feather tip into red polish and drag it across the nail in an irregular, slightly jagged diagonal line, then repeat with navy blue in a slightly different direction to create overlapping veins.
  • Use a clean fine brush to soften and blur the edges of each vein very slightly by dragging a tiny bit of the color in the direction of the vein, which creates the authentic look of natural stone.
  • Seal with topcoat, and if you want extra depth, apply two coats — one to smooth, and one final coat for a glass-like gloss that makes the marble look truly dimensional.

Neon Patriotic Nails

Neon patriotic nails in bright red, blue, and white shades.

Not every patriotic nail look has to be traditional, and the neon patriotic design is my proof. This is the look I reach for when someone walks into my studio and tells me they want patriotic nails but with an edge — something unexpected, something bold, something that makes the classic palette feel completely brand new. Neon red, electric blue, and fluorescent white against a black base creates a look that is part Americana, part underground art, and entirely unforgettable.

Nails: Neon patriotic nails inspiration from street art, black light aesthetics, and bold modern expression

The neon patriotic look draws its energy from the electric, unapologetic vibrancy of street art and the visual impact of black light culture. Neon colors on a dark base create maximum contrast and visual pop, and the patriotic palette translated into neon tones feels simultaneously rebellious and celebratory — which is honestly a very American combination of feelings.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need a matte black base polish, neon red, neon blue, and fluorescent white nail polishes, a UV lamp if working with gel neons for maximum brightness, a thin striping brush for graphic line work, and a high-shine topcoat to make the neon colors glow.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply two coats of matte black base and cure or dry fully, as the dark base is what makes the neon colors truly pop and is non-negotiable for achieving the full effect of this design.
  • Using your striping brush, paint bold diagonal or horizontal stripes of alternating neon red and neon blue across the nail, leaving visible black lines between each stripe for graphic impact.
  • Add fluorescent white dots, stars, or line accents over the colored stripes using a dotting tool or fine brush to introduce the white element of the patriotic palette in a modern, graphic way.
  • Seal with a glossy topcoat to intensify the brightness of the neons and give the whole design a vibrant, almost glowing finish.

Geometric Patriotic Nails

Patriotic nails with modern geometric red, white, and blue patterns.

I want to finish this collection with a design that combines the precision of geometry with the passion of patriotism, because geometric patriotic nails are genuinely one of the most satisfying nail art styles I have ever worked with. Clean lines, sharp angles, perfect color blocking — everything about this look is deliberate and structured, and the result is a set of nails that looks like it was designed by an architect who also happened to love the Fourth of July. This is the look for the detail-oriented, design-minded person who wants their nails to be a work of precise, intentional art.

Nails: Geometric patriotic nails inspiration from modern graphic design and architectural precision

The inspiration for geometric patriotic nails comes from the intersection of modern graphic design and the structured, symbolic nature of the flag itself. The flag was always a piece of graphic design — precise proportions, intentional color placement, deliberate symbolic geometry. Taking that spirit and expanding it into sharp color-blocked triangles, diamonds, chevrons, and angular stripes creates a nail look that feels simultaneously traditional and completely contemporary.

Tools needed to create the nails design

You will need red, white, and navy blue nail polishes, striping tape or thin painter’s tape cut into narrow strips for creating clean geometric edges, a base coat, a topcoat, small scissors for cutting tape into precise shapes, and a cleanup brush with remover for any bleeding edges.

Step by step guide to create nails design

  • Apply your base color and allow it to dry fully — this step is critical with geometric designs because tape applied to wet polish will pull the color off and ruin the base layer entirely.
  • Press your tape strips firmly onto the nail in your desired geometric pattern — diagonals, chevrons, or triangular sections — and paint the exposed areas with your contrasting color, then remove the tape immediately while the polish is still wet.
  • Repeat the taping process on different sections of the nail with additional colors to build up the layered geometric color-blocking effect, allowing each color to dry before retaping.
  • Finish with a careful topcoat application, using a thin brush rather than sweeping broadly to avoid pulling at the tape edges or disrupting the sharp geometric lines you worked so hard to create.

Conclusion

Writing this collection of patriotic nail designs has genuinely filled me with joy, because this is exactly why I fell in love with makeup and beauty artistry in the first place — the ability to transform something as small as a fingernail into a powerful form of self-expression. From the timeless elegance of classic French tips to the electric boldness of neon patriotic designs, every single one of these looks carries its own personality, its own story, and its own kind of beauty.

I always say to my clients and my students that beauty is never about perfection. It is about showing up, trying something that excites you, and allowing yourself the freedom to express who you are without apology. Patriotic nails are one of the most joyful forms of that expression because they connect personal beauty to something larger — a sense of pride, a sense of community, a sense of belonging to something meaningful.

Whether you attempt one of these designs or work your way through all thirteen, I want you to approach the process with patience, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace the imperfections along the way. Some of my most beautiful nail moments have come from happy accidents — a smudged line that became a texture, a blended color that turned into a gradient I never planned. That is the magic of nail art, and it is the magic of creativity in general.

As I always tell the women who sit across from me in my studio — your nails are yours. They are a tiny, rotating gallery of who you are and what you love. So fill them with color, fill them with stars, fill them with stripes, and most importantly, fill them with confidence. That is what patriotic beauty means to me, and I hope it becomes what it means to you too.
